Kings of Leon Wall of Light

The intention was to create a huge wall of light from a stack of rusting American car parts and headlight units. This would span from one side of the stadium stage to the other, from floor to ceiling.

640 par, nook and raylite lamps were mounted inside stackable dollies so that they could remain rigged and wheeled into place as efficiently as possible.

Each lamp was fitted with various fascia and cowlings to imitate the various car lighting parts which were treated with a scenically applied rust effect to simulate a scrapheap look.

All lamps, interconnecting leads, twofers and spiders were assembled and tested in-house. The lamps were pre-patched within each dolly and between dollies according to the lighting plot.
